What a legitimate checkout shows you
Before you type a card number, the page should be able to tell you five things: the exact product name, how many bottles you are buying, the full amount you will be charged including delivery, where it is going, and what happens if you want to send it back.
If any of those are vague, missing or buried, stop. That is not fussiness, it is the difference between a purchase you can undo and one you cannot.
Read the order summary rather than the headline at the top of the page. Sales pages are written to persuade you. The order summary is the part that is actually binding.
Why marketplace listings need more care
Seeing a familiar retailer's name at the top of a page does not tell you who is shipping the bottle. Large marketplaces let independent sellers list under the same roof, and that seller may have bought stock through a route nobody can trace.
Two things go wrong with resold supplements: you cannot confirm the bottle is the current formula, and the manufacturer's guarantee usually does not follow it. You may still have the marketplace's own returns policy, which is a different thing with different rules and a different clock.
If a listing cannot clearly establish who the seller is and what protection you get, the small saving is not worth it.
What we are, plainly
Gutsave.ca is an independent information site. We explain the formula and link to the checkout, and if you buy through our link we may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way.
We do not make Gut Save, take payments, ship bottles, track parcels or issue refunds. If your order goes wrong, we cannot fix it, and the seller's contact details in your confirmation email are what you need.
The commission does not buy a soft review. The proprietary blend is criticised on nearly every page of this site, and the fish and dairy warnings appear everywhere they are relevant, because leaving them out would be worse than losing a sale.
Before you enter your card details
Check the total, check the bottle count, and check nothing optional has been added to the order without you noticing. Upsells are normal and usually clearly marked, but they are easy to click past.
Once you have paid, save the confirmation email and the support address it gives you. Keep the packing slip when the parcel arrives. Both matter if you decide to use the 60-day guarantee.
